New Jack Swing is a genre of music which generally mixes light hip hop & funk production techniques with R&B vocals and melody's. The beats are generally quite up-tempo and aggressive. It was mainly popular in the late 80s and 90s where it would provide a mix of hip hop and Rhythm & Blues.
